Coming in 2016….

2016As hard as it is to believe, a new year is upon us!

And here at Migraine Miracle headquarters, we’ve got big plans for 2016, and we’re super excited about them.

All the energy and enthusiasm from the folks inside of Migrai-Neverland and in our Facebook group has been a HUGE source of motivation for us, and we want to continue, with your help, to make Migrai-Neverland into the premiere resource for migraine sufferers – a place where anyone can find their own path to migraine freedom.

And while our community is still new, we’re already seeing folks who’ve battled chronic migraines all their life, folks whom the system had failed, find their path to migraine freedom. In fact, just today we received this from one of our members:

Everyone is SO happy to have me back!  It’s been 18 years, but the new me is back and so happy to be able to enjoy life without the worry of a migraine interrupting plans or daily living.

I can’t express how much joy it brings us to read words like that.

So with our heads full of steam, here’s a bit of what’s in store for 2016:

Dr T’s Self Experimentation

I’ll be conducting a number of self experiments this year, the goal of which is to fine tune the Migraine Miracle template even further.

I consider one of my roles here to be “Guinea Pig In Chief,” submitting myself to various degrees of poking and prodding so that you don’t have to, and so that you can benefit from what I discover.

  • The “Keto Chronicles” – Beginning in January, I’m going to be running some experiments on myself while in nutritional ketosis, replete with blood ketone monitoring.

I’ll also be exploring the use of ketone ester supplementation. These are a whole new frontier in the realm of ketogenic diets, but one that may have real therapeutic utility for migraineurs. Just like it is for those with refractory epilepsy, nutritional ketosis can be a HUGE asset for migraineurs, as I know many of you have already discovered.

I’ll be sharing the daily blow by blow inside of Migrai-Neverland, and will also post summaries here.

  • The Glycemic Effects of Migraine Miracle Meals – while the carbohydrate content of foods can be a useful indicator of its effect on blood sugar, a more precise and useful measure, especially for migraineurs looking to avoid large fluctuations, is its glycemic effect. We want to know specifically how what we eat effect our blood sugar in the minutes to hours after eating.

And while glycemic data on individual foods does exist, seldom are we eating anything in isolation, or in the controlled manner in which that data is acquired. A baked potato eaten naked isn’t the same as one loaded with butter and sour cream. So I’ll be collecting this data on some of our favorite recipes from Migraine Miracle kitchen.

The Blog

Some of the upcoming topics you’ll find on the blog in the coming months include:

  • Why the Migraine Miracle plan is also the ideal strategy for weight loss and optimization, and how you can take full advantage of these properties.

  • More Travel Tips. Many of you I’m sure know that travel prevents a unique challenge when it comes to migraine prevention. We’ve covered our strategies for migraine-free road trippin’, so now we’ll be covering how we navigate traveling by air and across time zones.

  • Recipes, recipes, recipes. Things are always busy inside of Migraine Miracle kitchens, and you’ll continue to see the fruits of our labor here. Jenny doesn’t like to make the same thing twice, so you get to benefit from her incessant culinary curiosity.

This will include a host of “keto-friendly” recipes that we’ve been testing (those in the “Migrai-Neverland” forum will see a new keto recipe roughly every day as part of the “Keto Chronicles”).

  • The Psychology of Behavioral Change. For many, making the transition to a migraine free diet and lifestyle will involve major changes in daily habits and routines. If you’ve got other members of your household going along for the ride, things can get even more complicated. So, for many folks, making it through this transitional phase is the biggest impediment to migraine freedom.

The science and psychology of behavioral change offers a rich repository of information we can mine when trying to make and stick to new habits and routines, providing us with tools and resources for successfully navigating the transition, so that you can make it to the pot of gold that awaits you at the end of the rainbow.

Inside Migrai-Neverland

Serving our crew of smart, savvy, and action-oriented folks inside of Migrai-Neverland is our number one priority, and we’re always thinking about how we can do so. Here’s some of what’s in store for the coming year:

  • “Clinic chats” – our clinic chats have become one of the highlights of our week, and you guys seem to be enjoying them as much as we are. We get outstanding questions from our members, and learn as much from you as you do from us.

  • Video Learning Libary – knowledge is power, and we’ll be building a video learning library inside of the Migrai-Neverland forum this year, covering and taking a deeper dive into a wide array of topics relevant to the migraineur. Because the more you know, the greater your powers against the beast. Before you know it, you’ll be its worst enemy.

  • Food Journaling – food journals are a fantastic way for us to learn about how you’re implementing the Migraine Miracle plan, and a great way for us to guide you on your journey to migraine freedom.

We’re all different, with our own unique tastes, preferences, living situations, etc., and so we know that no two Migraine Miracle diets are gonna look the same. Rather, each will be personalized to your own unique situation. Our goal is to help you refine and dial in your own migraine free eating plan, and the food journals are the ideal tool for doing so.

  • Recipe Archive – one of the benefits of membership is access to our ever expanding archive of migraine-friendly recipes. Jenny loves creating and refining new recipes (and I love tasting them!), and we’ll continue adding those that make the cut as soon as they’re hot off the stove.

  • …and more. We’re always brainstorming ways to serve you guys, and have some other exciting ideas we’re tossing around.

So that’s just a brief snippet of what’s to come. Remember, Migrai-Neverland will re-open to accept a limited number of new members this Friday. It’ll be first come, first serve, so if you want to given the first opportunity to sign up, make sure to get on the Migrai-Neverland waiting list.
